After dabbling in the Southern-Gothic, countrified musings of Trial By Fire, Yelawolf appears to be back on his trunk-popping BS. With Trunk Muzik 3 around the corner, Yela looks to be capping off his tenure at Shady Records with a bang. The album's introductory cut, the WLPWR-produced "Trunk Muzik Intro," has arrived in select international markets. "The priest was thinkin' I'm Illuminati 'cause Eminem is a close kin," spits Yela. The Alabama rapper navigates a blend of synth and distorted 808s with a practiced flow, much to the delight of fans hoping for a return to the bars. It's cool to see Yelawolf coming through with a renewed sense of internal fire, at least where his emceeing is concerned.
